Please note: Photographs shown here and in our Journey Image gallery are representative of a destination at a particular time of year. Extraordinary weather events can dramatically alter the appearance of landscapes. Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre provides a perfect example, with its colours varying significantly depending on seasonal conditions, water levels and salinity. Likewise, the exceptional flooding experienced across the Channel Country this year has transformed the appearance of many landscapes that are more commonly seen in much drier conditions.
