Sprawling across 97 hectares, it is a remarkable Botanic Garden dedicated to the cultivation and display of the world’s cool climate plants.
Following lunch at Mount Lofty House, enjoy a historical tour of this remarkable property, our multi award-winning luxury accommodation for the next three evenings. An iconic manor hotel perfectly positioned overlooking Piccadilly Valley, this designer boutique property in the Adelaide Hills is timeless elegance. Built in 1852 by prominent statesman Arthur Hardy as his summer house, the beautiful manor soon became the state’s premier address for lavish and infamous parties for Adelaide’s elite, reminiscent of a South Australian Great Gatsby. An exceptional dégustation dinner this evening at acclaimed three hatted restaurant, Hardy’s Verandah.

Transfer this morning to the Barossa Valley to visit iconic Seppeltsfield Estate for a Heritage Winery Tour during ‘vintage’ (harvest time). Enjoy a behind the scenes tour including a visit to founder, Joseph’s, private room along with a tour of the heritage Homestead. You will also enjoy the remarkable and unique ‘Taste Your Birth Year experience’. Following lunch at the Homestead, explore the JamFactory Craft & Design studios and Vasse Virgin skin care before transferring to the historic and world-acclaimed Chateau Tanunda to enjoy a wine tasting.

For those interested, an opportunity to enjoy an Easter Church service this morning. Today we enjoy Easter lunch at Mount Lofty House celebrating exceptional local produce. This afternoon offers the chance to explore this remarkable property or simply relax and breathe in its incredible ambiance.

Bidding farewell to the gorgeous Mount Lofty House, we transfer to the charming town of Hahndorf, the jewel of the Adelaide Hills. Considered one of South Australia’s most popular towns to visit, Hahndorf was originally a farming village of Lutheran settlers and is classified as the oldest surviving German settlement. Start the day with strudel-making before we take a historic walking tour of this picturesque town. Following lunch at the iconic Hahndorf Inn, visit the historic Cedars house and garden, Australia’s oldest viewable artist’s studio of Hans Heysen, local Hahndorf artist before returning to Adelaide and our Farewell Dinner at the recently hatted and multi award-winning Luma restaurant.

After a leisurely breakfast, we transfer to the airport. Saying a fond farewell to new friends, we take away memories of a delightful Easter Sojourn.

Pre Tour
Flights from your home port to Adelaide are not included in the journey price. Should you require flights to and from Adelaide, we can provide a competitive quote on airfares and pre and post tour accommodation in Adelaide, at the commencement and conclusion of your journey.
Level of Fitness Required – Easy Going
These journeys are not physically demanding unless you want them to be. They include easy guided walks, which are mainly on flat ground. There will be times when you are required to board a launch for shore excursions. You must be able to walk up to 1 kilometre unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. For all clients to fully enjoy this travel experience, excellent health and mobility is required by all.
We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
