Day 1: Arrive Melbourne

This morning you will meet at a designated departure point at Melbourne Airport. After morning tea the group will depart for Victoria’s Spa Country. Our first stop is at stunning Trentham Falls, one of the longest single drop waterfalls in Victoria.   Tour the historic and stunningly beautiful Lavandula Swiss Italian farm renowned for its lavender which will be in full bloom. A chance to stroll the picturesque and historic Vincent St in Daylesford before checking-in to Peppers Mineral Springs Hotel Hepburn, an elegant boutique deluxe retreat that seamlessly blends the lush countryside, heritage architecture, and contemporary interiors. There will be a welcome dinner at Argus Dining Room this evening.

Day 2: Explore Spa Country

Discover the historic town of Kyneton, where you can soak up the unique charm of Piper Street. Heading back, we have a tasting and lunch at organic certified award-winning Daylesford Cider where we will learn about their process. Making our way back to Hepburn Springs, for those interested there will be a visit to the historic Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa. Enjoy a private tour of the beautiful and acclaimed Sault property prior to enjoying an exceptional meal of fabulous fresh and regional produce this evening.

Day 3: Hepburn Springs - Melbourne & The Australian Open Tennis

After breakfast, tour the award-winning Convent at Daylesford where contemporary and traditional art is housed in a Victorian-style, 19th-century former convent. Nestled on the crest of Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens, The Convent boasts expansive views of the countryside and township below. A feast for the senses, the gallery has been described as ‘the most beautiful gallery in Australia’. Before leaving Spa Country, we stop for a tasting at acclaimed family winery Passing Clouds.

On our drive towards Melbourne we delight in a visit to Forest Glade at Mount Macedon, a historic private garden that is acknowledged as one of the most beautiful in Australia. We also tour The Stokes Collection nearby, regarded by many antique experts as the greatest private collection in the southern hemisphere. 

We arrive into Melbourne this afternoon allowing time to relax before our transfer to the tennis. As we take our seats at Rod Laver Arena, the excitement builds as we anticipate an evening of Women’s Semi-Finals. These matches are sure to be incredible competitions, as some of the game’s greats battle it out. Premium seating in the Lower Bowl guarantees you a wonderful view of the action.

Day 4: Melbourne & The Australian Open Tennis

Explore this morning TITANIC: The Artefact Exhibition, the most extensive and authentic Titanic exhibition in the world. Exclusive to the Melbourne Museum, the exhibition features more than 200 actual artefacts recovered directly from the wreck site. After a fascinating morning of learning about this great tragedy, transfer to the tennis for more Semi-Finals action.

Day 5: Depart Melbourne

Following breakfast, we transfer to the airport. Saying a fond farewell to new friends, we take away memories of an exciting Australian Open Sojourn in Melbourne and Spa Country.

This journey is more challenging and designed for the more active traveller who is easily capable of walking around the large Melbourne Park precinct. To fully participate in all activities, the traveller must be able to walk up to 1km on even surfaces unaided and walk up steps unassisted.
