This evening, gather with your Journey Director and fellow travellers for a warm welcome and dinner at Mures Upper Deck, overlooking the harbour.

After breakfast, travel to Mount Wellington for spectacular views across Hobart and the surrounding landscape. Continue to the Richmond region for a private tasting and talk at Wicked Cheese, followed by a leisurely lunch and wine tasting at award-winning Frogmore Creek, renowned for its cool-climate wines.
Explore historic Richmond before visiting Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary for a private guided tour to view some of Tasmania’s much-loved native wildlife. Return to Hobart this afternoon, with Christmas Eve dinner at Waterline on Brooke Street Pier.

Today is a special opportunity to relax, celebrate Christmas and enjoy the company of new friends. After breakfast, choose to attend a local Christmas church service or enjoy a leisurely morning exploring Hobart. At lunchtime, gather for a special Christmas celebration at the acclaimed Landscape Restaurant, raising a glass to a memorable Tasmanian Christmas. The afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the hotel or waterfront at leisure, followed by a relaxed evening supper.

After breakfast, explore the vibrant Salamanca Market, famed for its beautifully preserved sandstone buildings, festive atmosphere and Tasmanian crafts. Discover Hobart’s fascinating history on a private walking tour of Battery Point, one of Hobart’s oldest and most picturesque suburbs. Following lunch, board the ‘Iron Pot Cruise’ and enjoy wonderful views of the Derwent River and harbour as you cruise towards the iconic Iron Pot Lighthouse. Return to the hotel to enjoy some leisure time before dinner at award-winning Fellini’s in the MACq 01 precinct.

This morning travel to the Tasman Peninsula and the remarkable Port Arthur Historic Site, one of Australia’s most evocative convict settlements and part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Australian Convict Sites. Enjoy a cruise followed by a private guided tour revealing the compelling stories of convict life, punishment and reform among the historic ruins.
After lunch at 1830 Restaurant overlooking the historic ruins, visit the beautiful Port Arthur lavender farm, where the summer fields provide a fragrant taste of Tasmania. Continue to the Tasmanian Chocolate Foundry before returning to Hobart for a farewell dinner at Old Wharf Restaurant for a refined waterfront dining experience.

Level of Fitness Required – Easy Going
These journeys are not physically demanding unless you want them to be. They include easy guided walks, which are mainly on flat ground. There will be times when you are required to board a launch for shore excursions. You must be able to walk up to 500 metres unaided and will not need any foreseen assistance throughout the journey. For all clients to fully enjoy this travel experience, excellent health and mobility is required by all.
