Day 1: Arrive Brisbane

Transfer from Brisbane Airport to the luxurious new Westin Brisbane. For those interested, there will be the opportunity to take a walking tour. There will be a welcome dinner tonight hosted by your Journey Director, a perfect chance to meet your fellow travellers.

Overnight: Westin Brisbane or similar

Day 2: Brisbane - Toowoomba

After breakfast we discover Brisbane city’s highlights. We explore this buzzing riverside capital city which is wedged between the ocean and rugged national parks. A cosmopolitan hub for arts, culture and dining, Brisbane still retains a close connection with nature and a classic laid-back Queensland attitude. We head to the garden city of Toowoomba, where the Darling Downs and Great Diving Range join forces to provide a riot of colour in spring for nature lovers.

Overnight: Potters Toowoomba or similar

Day 3: Toowoomba

This morning we head to the Carnival of Flowers, a cultural party featuring a floral parade, local food and produce, regional wine, entertainment and all things spring! All of your senses will be enlivened as we enjoy a tour of the sensational floral display. Joined by a private curator we will discover Laurel Bank Park and its magnificent grounds. Delight in viewing the topiary clipped into hedges and taking in the incredible scents in the garden created by the Downs Association for the Blind.

We will also explore Queens Park Botanic Gardens, the hub of the Carnival. Queens Park has retained the charm and character common to 19th century public parks and botanic gardens and so it’s like stepping back in time. The much-loved Queens Park is probably most recognised for the beautiful camphor laurel lined avenue. However, there’s something to behold wherever your eyes take you including bright flower beds, large canopies of stately trees and acres of expansive green lawns. Dinner this evening in the hotel.

Overnight: Potters Toowoomba or similar

Day 4: Toowoomba - Mt Tamborine - Gold Coast

After breakfast we depart for Mount Tamborine located in the peaceful and picturesque Hinterland just an hour from Brisbane, truly one of Queensland’s secret treasures. Sitting on the edge of the escarpment behind the city of the Gold Coast, Tamborine Mountain is both an actual geological phenomenon (the result of an outpouring of lava from Mount Warning) and a collective of small villages stretching along the eight kilometre ridge of the mountain range.

A delightful sunset dinner cruise this evening exploring the Gold Coast canals and picturesque waterways.

Overnight: Palazzo Versace or similar

Day 5: Gold Coast

Today is spent enjoying the many charms of the Gold Coast. From the iconic pulse of Surfers Paradise to the salty-chic of Broadbeach and all the stretches of white sand beaches in between, the Gold Coast has become one of Australia’s most celebrated holiday destinations. This evening we enjoy our farewell dinner at the Palazzo Versace.

Overnight: Palazzo Versace or similar

Depart Gold Coast

After a leisurely breakfast, transfer to Coolangatta airport. Say farewell to new friends and take away memories of a delightful Queensland Sojourn.
