Day 1: Sydney - Kiama

Enjoy morning tea in Sydney before transferring to the seaside town of Kiama. The name ‘Kiama’ has long been translated as “where the sea makes a noise”, so it’s no surprise that the Kiama blowhole is one of the town’s major attractions. These geological wonders were formed from volcanic lava flows about 260 million years ago. Eventually the ocean’s powers eroded the softer rock to create the vertical blowhole we see today. We spend the next 2 nights at the Sebel Kiama Harbourside Resort, which overlooks beautiful Kiama Harbour and the Pacific Ocean. Tonight your Journey Director will host a special welcome dinner.

Overnight: Sebel Kiama Harbourside or similar

Day 2: Jervis Bay & Berry

After breakfast, we set off to discover the natural wonderland that is Jervis Bay. Home to Hyams Beach, renowned for its pristine powdery white sand which is so fine it ‘squeaks’ and is said to be the whitest sand in the world. From the crystal blue waters, to the resident dolphins and the picturesque beaches, this coastal paradise on the NSW south coast will delight you with many memorable experiences. Enjoy a lunch of local produce before exploring the historic town of Berry. Known for its rolling green hills, heritage buildings and friendly people, Berry has all the hallmarks of a historic country town.

Overnight: Sebel Kiama Harbourside or similar

Day 3: Kiama – Bowral - Sydney

We farewell Kiama and head for the Southern Highlands where we find the charming town of Bowral. Known for its colourful gardens, culinary experiences, wineries and creative flair, our visit will leave you craving more. Visit the historic Retford Park home built in 1887 and wander through its delightful gardens before returning to Sydney for the main event!

Tonight is a highlight and a true international spectacle! The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is one of the greatest shows on earth and will feature over 1,200 performers from all over the world. The Sydney show, which is set against the backdrop of a full-size replica of Edinburgh Castle, will blend a thrilling mix of music, ceremony, military tradition, theatre and dance from the world’s best-massed pipes and drums. It will feature traditional Scottish favourites including pipers, fiddlers, highland dancers and precision drill teams, together with representatives from around the globe, as well as members of the Australian Defence Force. We enjoy the comforts of an exclusive private suite in a premium viewing location, with gourmet food and beverages included.

Overnight: Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park or similar

Day 4: Depart Sydney

After a leisurely breakfast, we transfer to the airport or your home in metropolitan Sydney. Saying a fond farewell to new friends, we take away exciting memories of another delightful Bill Peach Journeys sojourn.
