This morning, your friendly, professional and experienced Flight Crew and Journey Director will ensure that you will experience the journey of a lifetime from the moment you arrive at the departure lounge. Your knowledgeable Journey Director will ensure that all arrangements for your Bill Peach Journeys Aircruise will be taken care of throughout the entire tour so that your complete travel experience with us is seamless. After your initial check in, you will not need to check in again for each flight nor be troubled with luggage until your return at the conclusion of the Aircruise; all will be taken care of for you so that when you arrive into each new destination, your luggage will be waiting for you in your hotel room.

Now it’s time to relax and enjoy. Leaving the city behind, your journey commences as we depart Perth for Carnarvon. Most
famous for its banana plantations, Carnarvon is nestled on Australia’s Coral Coast at the southern gateway to the world famous
Ningaloo Reef. Tonight, enjoy an evening at your leisure.

This morning we commence our onward journey and depart Carnarvon for Exmouth. We cruise Yardie Creek Gorge on the North West Cape – enjoy the stunning gorges, unique flora and fauna, Aboriginal history and the beautiful natural environment.

Western Australia’s gorges are among its most impressive sights and Yardie Creek Gorge, in Cape Range National Park, is no exception. We continue onto Turquoise Bay to take in the breathtaking scenery before arriving at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse to witness the west coast sunset.

Before commencing our journey north, we experience Ningaloo Reef up close and personal via glass bottom boat and discover the fire coral gardens, green sea turtle habitats, plenty of bommies, and a kaleidoscope of colourful fish. There truly is no better marine playground in the world. We take the incredibly scenic and at times dramatic road along Charles Knife Canyon. Located in Cape Range National Park, the canyon offers visitors some incredible and unforgettable views over the Exmouth Gulf. Mid-afternoon board your private aircraft for Karratha. The town was established in 1968 to accommodate the processing and exportation workforce of the Hamersley Iron mining company and, in the 1980s, the petroleum and liquefied natural gas operations of the North West Shelf Venture.

This morning we tour Karratha, one of the largest and fastest growing towns in the north of Western Australia and is known as ‘Munjaree’, the heart of the West Pilbara Coast. Discover Indigenous rock engravings and artefacts along the way. After lunch we commence the next leg of our journey arriving in the rugged mining town of Port Headland. The town is the second largest in the Pilbara region and is also the site of the highest tonnage port in Australia.

An early morning tour of the BHP Mine is a fascinating insight into the regions resources. We board the aircraft and depart mid-morning to Broome. The breathtaking aerial sightseeing is a tour highlight before a welcome arrival into Broome. Home to one of Australia’s most beautiful beaches, it is tropical oasis famous for producing the world’s most sought after pearls. Cable Beach is a 22 kilometre-long stretch of pure white sand, set against a backdrop of red ochre cliffs and fringed by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. This afternoon we will tour Willie’s Pearl farm. This unique tour will give you insight into the fascinating process of modern cultured pearl farming. Learn how pearl technicians seed and harvest oysters and discover exactly what makes the perfect pearl. You’ll cruise Willie Creek’s azure waters and view live oysters suspended in their natural environment amongst native flora and fauna.

A full day at leisure to sit back and be immersed in the lifestyle and ambiance of beautiful Broome. For true relaxation, stroll the grand expanse of the famous white sandy Cable Beach, enjoy the facilities of the resort, and then watch one of the world’s most famous sunsets over the low tide. Alternatively, make your way into town to explore the melting pot of culture and history Broome has to offer. Shop for local pearls or crafts or simply meander through the charming town.

This morning re-board our exclusive private aircraft and once again experience spectacular aerial views, this time over the remote far northwest coastline and the exquisite Buccaneer Archipelago. Accessible only via sealed road we arrive at Karijini Eco Lodge, nestled in the pristine bushland of Joffre Gorge, this eco-friendly property offers a cultural experience with a touch of luxury. This afternoon is at your leisure, guided nature walks are on offer or take the afternoon to simply enjoy the peace and tranquillity the retreat has to offer.

Karijini National Park is an iconic, unspoiled nature-based destination offering a unique and diverse landscape, and today we take the time to explore the region with our local guide. Karijini is famous for its dramatic creeks, spectacular gorges and towering sheer sided chasms up to 100 metres deep. Karijini National Park protects many different wildlife habitats, landscapes, plants and animals of the Pilbara. Wildflowers vary with the seasons and in the cooler months the land is covered with yellow-flowering cassias and wattles, northern bluebells and purple mulla-mullas.

Transfer to the airport this morning where the private aircraft awaits to take you to Geraldton. Blessed with beautiful beaches
and a magnificent array of seafood, we enjoy a welcome break in Geraldton for lunch at a local restaurant enroute to Perth. Re-board our private aircraft for our final flight to Perth and the last of our aerial sightseeing experience. Tonight, your Journey Director invites you to a farewell dinner.

Level of fitness required: Moderate

This journey is more challenging and designed for the more active traveller who is looking to venture off the beaten path. To fully participate in all activities, the traveller must be able to walk up to 1km on even surfaces unaided, travel by four-wheel drive vehicles along ungraded roads and walk up steps unassisted.

We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
