Day 1: Cairns - Port Douglas

Your journey begins today at Cairns Airport. A private transfer awaits to take you to Silky Oaks Lodge. The lodge is the ultimate luxury eco lodge in an unrivalled riverside location on the beautiful Mossman River just downstream from Mossman Gorge. There will be a welcome dinner at the lodge tonight.

Overnight: Silky Oaks Lodge

Day 2: Daintree Rainforest

This full day private tour has been specifically designed for nature lovers to showcase the very best of the Daintree Rainforest with minimal time in the vehicle. Visit the renowned Mossman Gorge and enjoy a cruise on the Daintree River, home to a diverse ecosystem and the elusive “Estuarine” crocodile. Crossing the Daintree River we journey to Alexandra Lookout to enjoy sweeping views extending from the Daintree River Estuary to the Coral Sea. Continue on to Cape Tribulation, with a stop at Kulki Lookout for unsurpassed views of the rainforest and beach, being the only place in the world where two world heritage listed areas meet.

Overnight: Silky Oaks Lodge

Day 3: Cairns - Crystalbrook

After a leisurely breakfast transfer to the airport for your flight to Crystalbrook Station. Hidden in the rugged outback of North Queensland, this secret outback mecca catering to only 10 guests is an oasis of luxury perched over the spectacular Crystalbrook Lake. The property is part of the historic 85,000 acre Crystalbrook Station. The lake, some 300 acres in size, is haven to a staggering range of wildlife including birds, freshwater crocodiles and fish. The private aircraft will land on the Lodge’s private airstrip.

The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend at leisure exploring the property. Activities at the lodge include fishing, kayaking, mountain biking and bush walking.

Overnight: Crystalbrook Lodge

Day 4: Chillagoe

Discover the world’s most diverse geology through a privately guided day tour to the iconic Chillagoe Caves. A 4WD coach will take you on a journey through Chillagoe’s marble quarries and stop for a visit to Tom Prior’s legendary Ford Museum. Some scientists believe the landscape around Chillagoe began to form about 400 million years ago, when limestone was deposited as calcareous mud and coral reefs on the bed of a shallow sea where Chillagoe is today. Subsequent tilting, folding and erosion exposed and weathered the limestone that today towers over the surrounding plains.

Overnight: Crystalbrook Lodge

Day 5: Crystalbrook - Cooktown - Lizard Island

After a leisurely breakfast your private aircraft will depart for Cooktown. The tour will reveal its remarkable history including a visit to the Endeavour River, named after Captain Cook’s ship, which was moored there for repairs during his voyage of discovery of the east coast of Australia. You will visit all the iconic sites of the town including Grassy Hill Lookout, Annan River and Archer Point Lighthouse, which has great views of the rainforest coastline and fringing reefs.

Late this afternoon reboard the aircraft and fly to Lizard Island our home for the next two evenings. Lizard Island is one of Australia’s most stunning Great Barrier Reef Islands and it’s yours to indulge in serenity, calm and luxury.

Overnight: Lizard Island

Day 6: Lizard Island

Enjoy the island at your leisure. Lizard Island is a granite island about 10 square kilometres in size, with three smaller islands nearby (Palfrey, South and Bird). Together these islands form the Lizard Island Group and their well-developed fringing reef encircles the 10 metre deep Blue Lagoon. The island is also part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, administered jointly by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency. You may wish to have a picnic on a private beach, snorkel the Great Barrier Reef or simply relax. Tonight there will be a special farewell dinner on the island.

Overnight: Lizard Island

Day 7: Lizard Island - Cairns

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before re-boarding your private aircraft for your flight to Cairns.
