Day 1: Arrive Hong Kong

Private transfer from Hong Kong Airport to the multi award-winning Langham Hong Kong. A paragon of timeless elegance and poise, The Langham embodies luxury with its traditions of excellence and European influence holding court in the prime shopping district of Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. Your welcome dinner will be hosted by your Journey Director tonight, a perfect chance to get to know your fellow travellers.

Day 2: Kowloon

A heritage discovery of Hong Kong begins at the Qing Dynasty fort in The Kowloon Walled City Park followed by one of Hong Kong’s most popular temples, Wong Tai Sin. Next we visit the stunning Buddhist Chi Lin Nunnery, which celebrates Tang Dynasty architecture. This afternoon we discover the living culture of the Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok districts of Kowloon. We will visit the bustling Flower Market, Yuen Po Street Bird Garden, Goldfish Market and Ladies Market. After a visit to the Tin Hau Temple we walk around the Jade Market before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Causeway Bay

Today we indulge in the retail Mecca of Causeway Bay, a true microcosm of Hong Kong’s shopping scene from Lee Gardens to Fashion Walk. An exciting evening as we enjoy dinner and take in the vibrant ambience of the night races at Happy Valley Racecourse.

Day 4: Hong Kong
After breakfast, the day is yours to enjoy the luxurious amenities of The Langham or explore at your own pace before rejoining for a group dinner this evening.

Day 5: Macau

Today we spend the day exploring Macau renowned for its blend of Chinese and Portuguese culture. We begin at the famous A-Ma Temple then continue on to the impressive ruins of St. Paul and Senado Square, the historic heart of Macau. Next we visit the Macau Tower and gaze out over Taipa and Coloane and try to spot Hong Kong’s outlying islands before returning to Hong Kong.

Day 6: Hong Kong Island

We begin today with a ride on the iconic Star Ferry crossing Victoria Harbour as it buzzes with a constant parade of vessels. Next we ride the World’s steepest funicular railway, the Peak Tram and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the surrounding city skyline, the world-famous Victoria Harbour and Kowloon from Victoria Peak. Then we pass through picturesque Repulse Bay on our way to Stanley markets.

Day 7: Lantau

We cruise today to Lantau Island where we explore the stilt house village of Tai O, known as the “Venice of the East” before driving to Po Lin Monastery to see the world’s largest outdoor bronze Buddha. Finally we ride the cable car to Tung Chung before returning to Hong Kong for our farewell dinner.

Day 8: Depart Hong Kong

After a leisurely breakfast, we transfer to the airport. Saying a fond farewell to new friends, we take away memories of the exciting highlights of Hong Kong.

Pre / Post Tour 

Flights from your home port to Hong Kong are not included in the journey price. Should you require flights to Hong Kong, we can provide a competitive quote on airfares and pre and post tour accommodation in Hong Kong, at the commencement and conclusion of your journey.

Level of Fitness Required – Moderate

This journey is more challenging and designed for the more active traveller who is looking to venture off the beaten path. To fully participate in all activities, the traveller must be able to walk up to 1km on even surfaces unaided, travel by four-wheel drive vehicles along ungraded roads and walk up steps unassisted. It is a requirement that all children are able to swim confidently.

We strongly urge you to consider the fitness rating before selecting your preferred journey, in respect for your fellow travellers. Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to refuse travel to any client whose fitness level is below the recommended rating.
