The fine old buildings of the main street are typical examples of colonial architecture, while the mine itself looms in the background. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service base and learn about the incredible work they do in the outback. After lunch, we make our way to the opal mining town of Coober Pedy. This afternoon you will enjoy a tour of the opal fields, an opal mine, and the town. There will also be an opportunity to visit an underground home and church, mine museum and underground potteries.

Overnight: Desert Cave Hotel or similar

Continuing westward today we fly over some of the most desolate landscapes in Australia, across the incredible vastness of the Great Victorian Desert and the Nullarbor Plain. Kalgoorlie’s glory days began in 1893 when gold was found near Mt. Charlotte, and prospectors soon discovered the immense deposits of the Golden Mile, the richest square mile of gold-bearing land on earth. After lunch, spend some time exploring this fascinating town and have an opportunity to visit the Australian Prospectors and Miners Hall of Fame.

Overnight: Rydges Kalgoorlie or similar

We reboard our private aircraft and continue our journey westward to the city of Perth. Today explore this fascinating city, including Kings Park and the Botanic Gardens. Continuing on to Fremantle we take a scenic tour of the city on our journey back to Perth. Fremantle is a vibrant port city you can’t miss. Fremantle has world-famous heritage buildings and a fascinating maritime and convict history.

Overnight: Intercontinental Perth or similar

Today enjoy a tour of the historic Sandalford Estate. The establishment of Sandalford Wines in the Swan Valley in 1840 coincided with both the first European settlement at the Colony of Perth and the birth of Western Australia’s world famous wine industry. Your tour of Sandalford Estate commences with a history tour of the estate. Then journey behind the scenes and tour the operational winery from suspended overhead walkways. You will discover Sandalford’s winemaking process from vine to bottle. Lunch today will be at Sandalfords famous restaurant. Return to Perth by cruising the Swan River.

Overnight: Intercontinental Perth or similar

After breakfast this morning reboard our private aircraft for a scenic flight down the southern coastline of Western Australia arriving into Busselton, which is on the shores of picturesque Geographe Bay. The town’s distinctive pier was the longest timber jetty in Australia until part of it was destroyed by a cyclone in 1978. Continuing on we visit the Cape Naturaliste lighthouse with its spectacular coastal views. Situated on a rugged promontory, the surrounding environment is host to a diverse range of flora and fauna. A climb to the top of the lighthouse offers panoramic 360-degree views across Geographe Bay, the Indian Ocean, and Cape Naturaliste.

Overnight: Pullman Resort Bunker Bay or similar

This morning visit Margaret River’s most favourite Providore and Chocolate Company. Margaret River Providore combines vineyards, olive groves and organic vegetable gardens with finest take-home foods and ingredients from the region. Continuing to one of Margaret River’s finest wineries for a wine tasting experience followed by lunch. One of the icons of the Australian wine industry, it has earned an international reputation for making wines that rank alongside the world’s finest.

Overnight: Pullman Resort Bunker Bay or similar

After breakfast this morning we transfer to Albany. The township is the third largest deep water port in the world with spectacular coastal scenery, charming reminders of its early days and history of whaling. On 1 November 1914, Albany was the final departure point for the first ANZAC troops on their way to the battlefields of the First World War. Today on this same small piece of paradise stands the award-winning state-of-the-art National Anzac Centre that remembers the stories of the men and women who left from here. After a tour of this incredible centre we head to “The Gap” and Anzac Hill for a photo opportunity.

Overnight: Dog Rock Motel or similar

This morning visit Whale World located on the picturesque southern coast of King George Sound. The station ceased whaling operations and was decommissioned in 1978. Departing Albany fly east to Esperance and enjoy spectacular aerial flightseeing over the Rescherche Archipelago. This area is famed for its coastal scenery. Pure white sandy beaches run into the brilliant blue waters of the Southern Ocean, and massive pre-Cambrian granite outcrops break up the long beaches to form many sheltered bays and coves along hundreds of kilometres of coast. This afternoon we tour the town of Esperance and view its magnificent coast marvelling at nature’s splendour.

Overnight: Comfort Inn Bay of Isles or similar

Enjoy a cruise of the Rescherche Archipelago this morning. The islands are a refuge for some unique wildlife including hair seals, mutton birds, and Cape Barren geese. Departing Esperance enjoy one of the highlights of this journey – spectacular low flying over the Great Australian Bight. This afternoon arrive into Port Lincoln, the “Seafood Capital of Australia”, nestled on the beautiful, blue Boston Bay found almost at the end of the Eyre Peninsula in Nawu country. Boston Bay is three times the size of Sydney Harbour  and is the base for Australia’s largest tuna fleet and tuna-farming industry.

Overnight: Port Lincoln Hotel or similar

This morning cruise the waterways of Port Lincoln including a visit to a tuna farm. After a delicious seafood lunch, we reboard the aircraft for our flight to Wangarratta. On arrival, we transfer to Milawa. Visit the Milawa Cheese Company, a small but highly regarded speciality cheese factory. All cheeses are handmade at the historic Milawa Butter Factory using traditional methods, without preservatives and using non- animal rennet.

Overnight: Lindenwarrah at Milawa or similar

Today we drive to Bright and along the way pass through the township of Glenrowan and the Mt Buffalo region. Spring in Bright is a veritable bouquet of colour! Everything comes to life with startling clarity. Snow-fed creeks, rivers roar and the skies overhead are a brilliant blue. We return to Lindenwarrah via Myrtleford which is beautifully positioned in the northern foothills of the Mt Buffalo Range adjacent to the Ovens River, Happy Valley Creek, and Barwidgee Creek. Tonight we celebrate a very special Farewell Dinner.

Overnight: Lindenwarrah at Milawa

This morning transfer by road to Beechworth. This historic town is respectfully known as the ‘Elegant Dame’, with all the sensibilities of a grand 19th-century town, as you look down from the foothills of the Australian Alps onto the wide, tree-lined streets, with their deep granite gutters and shady, century-old verandahs. After a delicious lunch, we transfer to Wangaratta Airport for our return flight to Sydney.
