Booking Conditions
TO MAKE A RESERVATION
Your reservation will be held for a maximum of seven days pending receipt of the nominated non-refundable deposit and completed and signed booking form.
For journeys within Australia & New Zealand the deposit is AUD $500 per person.
For worldwide destinations outside Australia and New Zealand the deposit is AUD$2,000 per person. The payment of a deposit is acknowledgment that you have read, understood and agreed to the detailed reservation conditions received with the booking form. The balance of your fare is due 8 weeks prior to departure. For reservations made within 8 weeks full fare is required immediately. If any payments are not received by the due date, Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to treat the reservation as cancelled and subject to the cancellation fees.
IF YOU CANCEL A RESERVATION
The reservations we make on your behalf are subject to onerous cancellation fees.
For bookings within Australia & New Zealand the following penalties apply:
More than 8 weeks prior to departure the deposit is forfeited. Less than 8 weeks prior 10% of the total travel cost is forfeited. Less than 6 weeks prior to departure 20% is forfeited. Less than 4 weeks prior to departure 50% is forfeited. Less than 2 weeks prior 90% is forfeited. Less than 1 week notice, failure to join the tour or leaving the tour once it has departed 100% is forfeited.
For worldwide destinations outside Australia and New Zealand:
Cancellation 30 to 60 days prior to departure 50% of total travel cost is forfeited. Within 30 days of departure 100% of total travel cost is forfeited.
Unfortunately it is necessary for us to strictly enforce the cancellation policies, as we must make firm reservations for each client for suitable transportation, accommodation and touring.
Cancellation charges are calculated on the day written notification is received by Bill Peach Journeys.
INSURANCE
We strongly recommend that you carry travel insurance to cover you against such things as personal illness or accident, cancellation, loss of baggage etc. If you choose not to take travel insurance then Bill Peach Journeys will require a letter stating that this is your preference.
PRICE GUARANTEE
The price of your holiday is subject to possible surcharges through currency exchange rate, increases in supplier charges e.g. international airfares or the introduction of new Government charges. However, we guarantee that once your full fare has been received by Bill Peach Journeys there will be no increase in the cost of your holiday. Any increase will be absorbed by us excluding the introduction or increase in Government taxes (GST). Given the oneroous finacnial commitments that we must undertake to offer this price guarantee, we are not able to make reductions in holiday prices should the value of the Australian dollar strengthen.
CHANGES TO THE ITINERARY
Because of changing operational conditions, we reserved the right to make changes to the itinerary when necessary. Where possible we will substitute a programme of equivalent interest, or a hotel of similar standard. Given the limited accommodation that is available in some remote destinations, Bill Peach Journeys will do its utmost in securing the most suitable facilities, should these not be available then the next most suitable arrangement will be make.
NOT INCLUDED
Items of personal nature such as telephone calls, drinks, travel insurance, excess baggage, laundry, personal accident and medical expenses and all extra communication charges incurred on a client's behalf.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Bill Peach Journeys accepts reservations subject to the following conditions:
Where air travel is by scheduled carrier or charter service, their responsibility is limited in accordance with their conditions of carriage.
Responsibility of Bill Peach Journeys and/or its associated companies or agents give notice that they act as booking agent only for the persons or companies providing or offering the means of travel conveyance, transport, accommodation or other service and all receipts, tickets, vouchers, coupons or exchange orders are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which transportation and other services are provided. Certain laws imply terms, conditions and warranties ("Terms") into agreements for the provision of services and prohibit the exclusion, restriction or modification of such Terms or limit the liability of the supplier of the services for a breach there of. Subject to Terms Bill Peach Journeys shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity that may be caused to any persons or property however caused or arising, during any tour under its management, sponsorship, procurement or otherwise notwithstanding that Bill Peach Journeys principal may be a foreign company, corporation or person.
Bill Peach Journeys applies all reasonable checks to ensure those involved in the preparation and provision of your holiday maintain the appropriate standards.
The descriptions, information and opinions given on this website in respect of the airlines, hotels and other suppliers whose services are used are given in good faith, based on the latest information available at the time of going to press. In exceptional circumstances local factors (weather conditions, technical failures, etc.) may limit hotel or other facilities illustrated. Bill Peach Journeys cannot be held responsible for such limitation or withdrawal of facilities.
Where Bill Peach Journeys has described hotels as First Class or Deluxe (for example), these are not necessarily official gradings, but Bill Peach Journeys own assessment, based upon our own impression, general opinion and what is available locally. Neither Bill Peach Journeys nor any person or supplier assisting or collaborating with it shall be liable for death or personal injury unless directly resulting from the negligence of Bill Peach Journeys or its servants in its contractual duty to exercise care in making arrangements for the client.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CLIENT OR THEIR AGENT
a. Any passports, visas, health certificates or other travel documentation required for the holiday must be obtained by the client, whose responsibility it remains to ensure that these are in order and to meet any additional costs incurred (whether by the client or by Bill Peach Journeys and on the clients behalf) as a result of failure to comply with such requirements.
b. No credit or refund is possible for any unused services included in the basic holiday price or for any lost, mislaid or destroyed travel documents.
ARBITRATION
The contract and these conditions shall be governed in all respects by the laws of Australia. In the unlikely situation that you have a complaint about any aspect of Bill Peach Journeys arrangements, the complaint should be reported immediately to our local representative (where possible), or to the management of the hotel or supplier whose services are involved, in order that we may be given the opportunity to correct the matter during your holiday. Bill Peach Journeys is unable to consider any complaints in respect of holiday arrangements unless full details are received in writing to Bill Peach Journeys.
JOURNEY COSTS
Each journey presented by Bill Peach Journeys represents a complete "package" and as such, an itemised breakdown of components costs will not be given. Some journeys are based on group airfares and land arrangements and members must travel together throughout.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Bill Peach Journeys reserve the right to decline, to accept or retain any person as a client should such person's health or mental condition or physical infirmity or general deportment impede the operation of the tour or rights or welfare or enjoyment of other clients. Further Bill Peach Journeys reserves the right to request a client be accompanied by a companion should age or infirmity hinder their ability to travel on the programme on their own. Failure to notify Bill Peach Journeys of any disabilities prior to departure may result in refusal of carriage on the day or during the programme. Full cancellation conditions apply.
